Matt Insley – Managing Investment Director

Matt Insley brings private equity and corporate finance experience. As the Managing Investment Director of Aldridge Wealth, Sir Rod Aldridge’s family office investment vehicle, Matt has successfully invested, managed and exited private equity investments in a number of sectors in the UK. Matt’s other directorships include Warwick Estates Property Management, the fifth largest block manager in the UK with £10bn of assets under management, where he also chairs the audit and remuneration committees, as well as a number of other smaller VC investments in the UK.

Prior to his past five years working at Aldridge Wealth, Matt worked for four years at Knox D’Arcy Investment Management, an FCA regulated specialist investment management firm culminating in a role as an Investment Director.

Matt gained his professional qualifications whilst working at Deloitte in London, in both their Structured Transactions (which spanned the Audit and Tax practices) and then in their M&A (Corporate Finance practice) teams.

Matt holds a first class MSc in International Business from The University of Nottingham where he majored in International Finance. He also read Biochemistry and Biological Chemistry at The University of Nottingham where he gained a BSc (hons).

Matt is a member of the ICAEW and is also a member of the CFA Society of the UK.

Andrew Sheach spent his career as a Corporate Partner at a leading international law firm with over 25 years’ experience advising on mergers, acquisitions and private equity transactions.

Michael Aldridge – Investment Committee Member

Michael Aldridge is the co-founder and CEO of Sunbird Group, an integrated business services company operating across East Africa.

He is a corporate finance professional with over 15 years’ experience in establishing and managing start-up businesses.
